Optimist Calendar

There are currently no events scheduled.
Sailed in over 110 countries by over 150,000 people, the Optimist is the only dinghy approved by the ISAF exclusively for sailors under 16 years of age. At the Athens Olympics in 2004, over 60% of the skippers and 70% of the medal winners were former Optimist sailors.

Fernando Sallent, a sail designer for 27 years at the Quantum Loft in Barcelona, Spain is a worldwide leader in sail development for the Optimist class. Fernando developed the dinghy department for the Barcelona loft where he created and continues to refine the original and highly regarded Opti sail. Quantum’s Opti sails are winning major World Championships and local regattas everywhere. Try one and see what the buzz is all about!
